Ilse Silva-Krott

Excelsior University liberal arts faculty member Ilse Silva-Krott, PhD, is a passionate scientist and educator who studies diseases of whales and dolphins. Special interests are zoonotic diseases and cycles of infections. Her training in molecular biology and pathology is the basis for her research work and teaching in the life sciences. She has taught online for many years and developed engaging life sciences courses, with laboratories based on open sources in microbiology, biology, nutrition, and anatomy and physiology. She supports conservation of local marine and terrestrial ecosystems.
